Today fabrication process that enables anyone to create customized functional devices that can be attached directly on their skin. Using different conductive thin sheet materials, a material that is cheap, skin-friendly, and robust for everyday wear, we are able to replicate three types of on-skin interfaces: sensing touch input, displaying output, and wireless communication.
This proposal present a Smart Training Glove that uses sensors, such as, flex sensors and pressure sensitive rubber fabric to detect hand movements and exercise load to support physical training of recovering people or regular people that require some kind of training record.
The proposition is that a bipedal walking stick offers greater stability for the user, and this has been demonstrated by an MS colleague using the prototype. Uses also include helping the user climb out of a motor car. The image provided simply shows the upper end of the walking stick,
Two hospital visits left a walking condition that was wobbly and uncertain. The walking surfaces here in Canada in the autumn and winter contribute to slip and fall accidents for seniors.
My 81 year old weakened muscles due to inactivity were affecting my quality of life.
The application of latent heat storage system using phase change materials (PCMs) is an operative way of storing thermal energy and has the advantages of high-energy storage density and the isothermal nature of the storage process.
Tinnitus is a serious health condition that can negatively affect a sufferer's quality of life and there is presently no known cure but with perseverance the perception of Tinnitus can be significantly reduced. Tinnitus is a complex audiological and neurological condition, and is most commonly linked to hearing loss of one form or another.
Numerous methods have been developed to enhance transdermal drug permeation, e.g., iontophoresis, electroporation, ultrasound, ablation, along with chemical enhancers like, alcohols, terpenes, azones and, more recently, solvents such as dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO). Traditional delivery methods based on passive diffusion of drug molecules into the skin are unable to deliver macromolecules, such as peptides, vitamins, proteins, DNA and vaccines,
Vaccines has long been a form of treatment for babies, children and even adults. The inconvenience of pain has formed different reasons to deny treatment and has since caused multiple forms of contagious and curable viruses.
