Electric Generating Turbo, EGT, is comprised of a turbine, the turbine wheel, the shaft, a rotor, stator and a set of neodymium rare earth magnets. The unique feature of our invention is the custom designed generator application. This function utilizes the thermal heat in the exhaust gasses to spin the rotor within the stator creating electrical power.
This idea is inspired by MIT's small jumping robot cubes and the decades old technology used to orientate satellites in orbit.
Reaction wheels (flywheels) rotate at high angular velocities and then are made to stop using one of the four electromagnetic brakes transferring angular momentum into the body of the frame.
This is a Tachometer- which works on the principle of Stroboscope. It is pocket size, 2 Nos. AA size battery operated, optical, non-contact type, which can be used for remotely viewing of blades of a RUNNING turbine of an aircraft while on the ground in an airfield.
