Darrell W. Pepper is currently Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Director of the Nevada Center for Advanced Computational Methods at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He obtained his BSME, MSAE, and PhD from the University of Missouri - Rolla (now MS&T). He joined UNLV in 1992 after 20 years in industry where he worked in various technical and managerial positions for DuPont, Marquardt (Chief Scientist), and APRI (Chairman and CEO). He served as Chariman of Mechanical Engineering from 1996-2002, and Interim Dean from 2002-2003. He was an ASME Congressional Fellow in 2004 and served as a senior legislative fellow in the office of US Senator Dianne Feinstein. He is the author of over 300 technical articles and 6 textbooks dealing with finite element, boundary element, and species transport modeling.
