Mahmut Sengul is Production Technology Advisor in Schlumberger. He joined Schlumberger in 1997 as Production Enhancement Manager. Later he took the positions as reservoir solutions manager, real-time operations leader in Gulf region, Production Engineering Champion in MEA and Vice President of Schlumberger Carbon Services in Middle East and Asia. Among Mahmutâ??sâ?? responsibilities at Schlumberger is formulating the company's long-term technology strategy and field applications in Carbon Sequestration, Sour Gas and IOR/EOR, digital oilfield.

Mahmut received his B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering in 1980 and M. Sc. in Chemical EOR in 1984 at Middle East Technical University. Following the University research, he was employed by Mineral Research and Exploration Institute as geothermal reservoir engineer, later 10 years he worked for Mobil Oil Co. He took the positions as senior reservoir engineer, reserves coordinator, and project manager and production supervisor. Later he worked for ADCO during 1994 - 97 as production technologist.
