Aviation is one of the main fields in transportation. Aside from being faster than piston engines, turbojets have greater reliability with about 99.9%. The manufacture of UAVs is quite multifaceted and is a challenging task. This homebuilt mini turbojet engine can be widely used for propelling UAVs and as auxiliary power units.
Metronome Boom
A mechanical boom arm can be articulated 360 degrees from a single actuator which is electrically controlled. The design is scalable and has a wide range of uses.
The design is basic; a central vertical shaft is a helical coil whose proportions, materials and torsion are scaled to the load of the task.
Earthquakes kill. Existing methods of forecasting or predicting earthquakes are very long-term (years) and very inaccurate or very short term (seconds). If we had warning that a major quake was likely within days or weeks we could take action to prepare and reduce their risk of injury or death.
The Energy/Power system is an Axial Flux Generator, which is driven by a DC Brushless Motor, intermittently pulsed and running at high rpm's. The rotors are spun as a flywheel by the motor and are embedded with neodymium magnets that pass over copper windings, and produce electron flow through the coils.
Electro-Chemical Machining is a non-traditional way of machining conductive materials. This way is based on the electrolysis concept, as the current passes from tool to workpiece through the electrolyte, the workpiece is to be ionized, then ions are moved tending to precipitate on the tool but it will be flushed by the flow of the electrolyte;
1. Problem the Design Solves: Extremely dangerous and disruptive tornadoes result in hundreds of deaths and injuries, destruction of homes and businesses, and financial and personal losses in millions in the U.S. alone. There is NO current solution to this severe problem!!!
This solution is novel!
Nanotechnology has been applied to the field of regenerative medicine to yield biocompatible substrates that can be employed to regenerate veins, skin, cartilage and nerves.
Patients subjected to self-transplant currently have difficulty in retrieving healthy and sufficiently abundant tissues for the double surgical procedures: explants and implants. Such problem strongly affects children, old-aged, severe burn victims and,
A Gaff, a hook used to land fish from a boat, has a sharp point. That point causes injuries because it is always open. The Safety Gaff eliminates that danger because the point of the hook is out of harms way by being hidden within the handle. When a gaff is required,
Compact “parallel” beam on the sample in optical spectrometers
The measurement of the absorbance of a sample in most of the optical spectrometers (UV, vis, IR) presently is carried out by using a focused, or convergent beam , having a small size focus in the sample compartment where the sample is positioned, see Fig.
We know that the main task of microelectronics is to decrease the computation time possibly reducing the power consumption of microchips. In fact to raise the clock speed is no more the right way to improve the performances.
