Safey Gaff

A Gaff, a hook used to land fish from a boat, has a sharp point. That point causes injuries because it is always open. The Safety Gaff eliminates that danger because the point of the hook is out of harms way by being hidden within the handle. When a gaff is required, the user can release the hook by pulling on the handle. That action releases the hook and locks it into it's operating position. After use, by sliding the lock release, the hook can be rotated and the point of the gaff in now safely hidden within the handle.
