In today's fast moving world, Everybody loves to speed up.
A number of automobile manufacturing companies around the globe are launching high speed cars keeping in concern the efficiency of cars regarding fuel consumption and Engine's life but on the other hand we know very well that 'speed thrills but it kills'.
These fast moving machines are safe on testing tracks but when it comes to Highways and Freeways full of traffic; These angels becomes demons due to unconscious love of speed which results in disastrous accidents.
Keeping in mind that 'science is a good servant but a bad master'; I would like to introduce "THE ANTI-COLLISION TECHNOLOGY" ; 'AN ATTEMPT TO REDUCE ACCIDENTS IN ROADS'.
This can be done by the following :-
1. EXTENDED RANGE PROXIMITY SENSORS AROUND THE AUTOMOBILE
This proximity sensors provide up to 3X the distance in sensing range over standard sensors. The longer distance reduces the possibility of collision damage by mounting the sensor further away from the moving target.
The sensing distance for standard cylindrical-type inductive sensors range from 0.8 to 15 mm. Thus actual separation between the sensor and target is typically less than 12mm-often significantly less.
Sensors positioned close to their moving targets are far more likely to suffer damage from physical contact. With machinery an equipment becoming increasingly compact, there isn't always room for additional mounting brackets or assemblies to properly hold sensor in position. A sensor that shifts or vibrates in position is more prone to collision damage. In this instance, I prefer to use "Extended-Range" sensors to reduce the possibility of damage. (SHOWN IN THE IMAGE 1 )
2. USE OF INFRA-RED (IR) SENSORS AROUND THE AUTOMOBILE
An infrared sensor is used to sense certain characteristics of its surroundings by either emitting an/or detecting infrared radiation. IR sensors are also capable of measuring the heat being emitted by an object and detecting motion.
IR sensors work by using a specific light sensor to detect a select light wavelength in the IR spectrum. By using an LED which produces light at the same wavelength as what the sensor is looking for, we can look at the intensity of the received light.
IR sensors can detect the obstacles in front and/or side-wise of the automobile and can change its position depending upon the field. (SHOWN IN IMAGE 2 AND ILLUSTRATED IN VIDEO)
