The implementation of visco-elastic material in order to enhance the safety of vehicle occupants against T-knock road accidents.Unlike the frontal collision, Side impact collisions are particularly dangerous as there is limited space between the occupants and the point of contact. The survey of accidents depicts that around 30-40% of the road accidents occurs due to T-Knock collisions.
Due to the limitations of technology and appropriate materials the safety of the occupant against the T-knock collision in the lower segment car is limited. Implementation of this material will result into absorption of the impact before reaching to the occupants. The material has the tendency to deform up to a large extent when subjected to impact loading and absorbing the impact energy during the process.
