Inspired by: Traditionally, groundnut oil extraction involves shelling the groundnut pods, roasting the shelled groundnut seeds, de-skinning/winnowing the roasted groundnut seeds, milling the cleaned groundnut seeds and kneading the paste produced. Hydraulic press and screw expelling machines were also developed to avert the drudgery and inefficiency involved with the traditional method. Several groundnuts shelling machines and oil extractors has also been fabricated. The problem with these designs is that it is a single unit of oil expelling machine. Machines which could combine roasting of the nut and expelling of the oil from the nut are not commonly available. However, if some of these units can be integrated it can generally enhance the efficiency of the entire process. An expelling machine for extracting oil from groundnut was thus designed and fabricated. This machine is designed in such a way that all the three processes: Roasting of groundnut , Separation of groundnut shells from the groundnut seed , and the oil extraction is done in a single unit without any human interference.
