The Sparrowhawk is a scalable, modular, ram-air chute, micro unmanned aerial vehicle and aerial delivery system that provides a viable solution to a variety of mission needs, including, but not limited to, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR), communications, communications relay, and emergency supply delivery.
A new American system of Magnetic Levitation for smooth, quiet, efficient rail transportaion is being developed. It employs permanent magnets (PM) for zero power continuous suspension. It does not require reaching under the rails to pull up (German design) nor refrigeration for superconducting magnets (Japanese design).
Levitated conveyors move silently and seemingly effortlessly
without lubrication or wear-producing debris as magnetic forces provide suspension without wheels. Ideal for medical or semiconductor clean rooms where dust or contaminants are
prohibited, these systems save power as well.
This device attacks the age old problem of friction, while expanding the range of motion, raising efficiency, and offering virtually unlimited life. It is the first spiral magnetic bearing; making a non-contacting screw thread. A few parts have the functionality of a multi-stage gear train.
A practical system of ride sharing has been developed to overcome the inherent problems with car-pooling and mass transit. Using the proper vehicle for the highway and another for city and neighborhood use enhances safety.
Your car is your second largest investment. According to Consumer Reports, 68% of car owners research recommendations before authorizing work, 56% wish they had more information going into the shop, and 46% of them negotiate the price of work. But ultimately,
I envision a piezoelectric ratchet stepping motor to circulate blood as an improvement to the HeartMate II. The digital piezoelectric turbine will circulate blood with more accuracy and control than a linear electric motor. With low power consumption, less parts and natural redundancy of design will ensure its reliability.
Many alloys have rare earth additions to improve their surface properties at high temperatures. A new product, Minimox® Nanocrystalline Alloy Treatment, exploits this fact to protect a variety of alloys in extreme environmental conditions of elevated temperature and/or corrosive atmospheres.
Imagine yourself running frantically to catch that early morning flight, weaving and winding through other travelers as your luggage follows your every move. You made it, just as the flight attendant was closing the gate. Luckily you choose to purchase Novo Luggage,
We all know about the polarized sunglasses, and about the theoretical-full-darkness using Malus's law with two polarizers. We want to put it to use in the simplest way:
We add another layer to the polarized sunglasses that we use. This layer is a polarizer as well,
