As the cost of energy increases engineers must design more energy efficient ways to perform common everyday task. The energy efficient cookware (E-Cookware) reduces stovetop cook times and improves the heat transfer from the cookware bottom to the food in the pot. The trapped hot air reduces cooking time and provides even warming of food.
Detection of chemical and biological weapons is an urgent and pressing problem for the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Until recently detection of chemical vapors using laser spectrometers was limited to smaller more volatile chemical species due to the narrow tuning range for conventional diode lasers.
Water Mortar Currently fire suppression systems use water at a flow rate of 750 to 1500 gpm. This causes alot of atomization, as a 1500 gpm flow is traveling at 120 mph, as it leaves a 1in nozzle. In a hot fire, most of this water is turned into steam, and goes into the atmosphere.

The left-ventricular stroke volume (or stroke volume, for short) is how much volume of blood the heart pumps with each heart beat. Stroke volume is important because it is a direct indicator of heart efficiency and health. Today, stroke volume can only be measured invasively using a Swan-Ganz catheter or via ultrasound echocardiography.
The reason rooftop turbine designs have not enjoyed commercial success in the past is more due to technological shortcomings than demand. Companies have tried to scale down familiar fan blade style designs that would normally be mounted on a tower to avoid turbulence, but these mini-turbines lack adequate surface area to be efficient.
