Install a circuit which disables the vehicle's entertainment system if there is an unbelted driver or passenger aboard. Would require all occupants to be belted to make the entertainment system functional. If anyone takes off their seatbelt the radio/dvd player will stop until the seatbelt is put back on.

Thousands of people die annually in car crashes due to being unbelted. By linking the entertainment system to the seatbelts more people would wear them and lives would be saved.

Currently, a light will illuminate on the dash board and a warning signal is heard if there is an unbelted occupant in the front row. Adding the entertainment system this would be a simple matter. The system should apply to all occupants, not just the front row.
