The "Rakshak" device is a wearable IoT-based solution designed to protect individuals, particularly farmers and forest officers, from dangerous encounters with wild animals. It is designed for both men and women and provides an effective means of distraction and alert to prevent potential conflicts. The device is worn on the body and activated by switching on the power, which initiates the microcontroller and all connected components. It features a Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor and a radar sensor that continuously monitor the surroundings for approaching animals. When an animal is detected, the sensors send a signal to the ESP32 microcontroller, which then activates a small beep through a buzzer to alert the user. Upon hearing the alert, the user can press an emergency switch, which triggers a powerful speaker to emit a loud sound resembling firecrackers and activates lights mounted on the head, back, and chest parts of the device to start blinking. These visual and auditory deterrents help to scare away the animal. The device is designed with flexible fabric for comfort and has a long battery life to ensure it remains operational for extended periods. In the next phase of development, the device will include GPS and GSM modules to send emergency messages and location information to pre-designated contacts, adding an additional layer of safety. The "Rakshak" device combines advanced sensor technology, powerful microcontrollers, and innovative design to provide an effective means of preventing dangerous encounters with wild animals and ensuring the safety of users.

Key Components and Features:

  1. Powerful Microcontroller:
The ESP32 microcontroller manages all device functionalities, ensuring reliable performance in diverse conditions.
  2. PIR Sensor:
A Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor detects animals approaching from behind and alerts the user with a beep.
  3. Emergency Alert System:
When the user presses an emergency switch, a powerful speaker emits a firecracker-like sound, and lights on the head, back, and chest start blinking to scare away animals.
  4. Radar Sensor:
Enhances detection accuracy and range, working with the PIR sensor to provide timely alerts.
  5. Long Battery Life:
Ensures the device remains operational for extended periods, reducing the need for frequent recharging.
