A reactionless drive is a device that produces motion without the ejection of a propellant. This is supposedly in violation of Newton's third law of motion, which states that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Reactionless Drives produce indefinite lifetimes for satellites, dependent on the lifetime of capacitors and solar panels. Contested logistics is the process of moving and sustaining military forces in an environment where the enemy is actively trying to disrupt or destroy those efforts. An LEO or constellation of LEO’s with a reactionless drive could be customized to an individual military operator or military unit and could address key problems in the new contested logistical environment. Overall, a customized LEO satellite with a reactionless drive could be a valuable asset for the military. It would allow the military to have a dedicated satellite that could be used for a variety of purposes. For example, it could be used to provide a permanent personal computer satellite server for an individual military operator. In addition to personal and unit level dedicated servers in LEO orbit, a reactionless drive could be used for creating supply satellites which can be deorbited to anywhere on the surface whenever it is needed.
