A dual pitch counter rotating blade dual motor generator system comprises coaxially fitted shafts connected to two mechanically separate motor generators allowing for smooth operation resulting the cancelling effects of opposing moments of the counter rotating systems.
Our design takes advantage of our unique cogless switched reluctance rotors combined with counter-rotating blades, resulting in increased lift when used as a thrust lifter or extracting as much energy from the wind. The outer and inner rotating assemblies operate independently without mechanical or magnetic coupling between the rotors for smooth operation without mechanical pulsations. The counter-rotating action provides a cancelling effect of the twisting moments resulting in less physical stress on the support structure.
Our unique coaxial design comprises bearing between the two rotors being cantilevered between the two end bells for maximum rigidity and concentricity without restricting movement of fluid flow. Lastly, our switched reluctance design mitigates windage losses at any speed.
