1. Description

3. Problem to solve

Provide the supply of drinking water to the world's population centers, which are aggravated when there is no rainfall.

4. Proposed solution

Water is always moving around, through and over the earth in the form of water vapour, liquid water and ice being recycled by the water cycle in the troposphere from 0 to 5 and up to 12 km. Tall.

Half of the atmospheric water is concentrated in the first 2 kilometers, allowing this to develop devices that repel humidity and promote the formation of droplets by condensation, which will then precipitate into the water treatment system.

Minimize the negative risks caused by water pollution due to wastewater discharges in streams, rivers, lakes and seas, unplanned human settlements and solid waste disposal.

Low quality water has an impact on high costs for the treatment of water used for human consumption, as well as to evaluate the operation of a wastewater treatment plant that would imply high costs.

6. Prototype operation

To harvest sustainable drinking water from water vapor in the atmosphere from 0 to 2 kilometers high, a torus-shaped membrane-based device is required that will condense water vapor from a heat exchanger and will take it by gravity to a water treatment unit, where it is purified thanks to solar energy and mounted solar photovoltaic panels and/or wind turbines, as well as filters for solids, filters for odors and flavors based on self-cleaning activated carbon and a UV unit, on the toroid and stored for consumption in tanks with a capacity of 5,000 liters at ground level that will supply drinking water for 400 people per day, purifying 8 cubic meters per hour. The scaling will be according to the population center served.

With the surplus solar energy from purification, non-potable water will be pumped to an elevated water tank that will serve to irrigate crops or other needs of the population.
