OBJECTIVE:

To develop a contactless attendance system.

WORKING:

A unique RFID card will be programmed and given to a particular person; if that card comes at a particular range between the RFID reader, it will capture the radio frequency of the RFID card and stores the data and send it to the microprocessor (Node MCU). The camera module will take the person's picture and give the notification (sound) as the output. The RFID reader output and image from the camera are sent to the PC through a WiFi router. The name, date, time will be stored in the Google sheet or Excel sheet, and the images will be stored in a particular file. The image is compared with those already stored on the Kaggle website. If any mismatching appears in the image, that information is shared with the consent authority. In that way, we can mark attendance with a contactless system.

ADVANTAGES:

  • Low-cost product with excellent quality.
  • Suitable for small-scale businesses like supermarkets and offices.
  • The contactless attendance system is a great replacement for government offices using a biometric attendance system.
