One hour can change a lifetime!

Cardiac arrests are becoming increasing every day and people die by the time they reach proper medical assistance. One of the common causes of death is not able to have access to medical support on time. A simple set of medications can extend the 'golden hours' and help in the prevention of damage before it is too late. Either patient are unaware of this or unable to have all the medicines stocked up.

The idea is to make a wallet pack of the three medicines with a) anti-coagulant, b) that prevents blood clot formation and c) an antiplatelet medication and provide clear instructions for use.

A wallet pack consists of leaves within the pack, that has step-by-step instructions. In this case
Step 1: 3 Tablets of Sorbital 10mg
Step 2: Asprin 300 mg
Step 3: Clopidogrel 300 mg

The novelty of the product is the simplicity in saving lives. It offers structured, fool-proof instruction that anyone can use in order to save their lives.

Currently one needs to have the education and awareness of these medicines, and keep them in stock and replenish them when it expires. They need to remember timing and sequence which is a cumbersome process - particularly when one is in a life-threatening situation.

According to WHO, cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are the number 1 cause of death globally, taking an estimated 17.9 million lives each year. This simplicity in packing and innovation is applicable across the globe to all. These medications play an important role in the prevention of damage to the heart and patients' recovery post medical attention.

All the core medicines needed for this product are already approved and available as OTC commercially. This is an innovation in co-packaging of these different pills into one wallet pack.

Keeping the wallet along with an individual is cost-effective than buying the entire strip out of which 9 out of 10 medicines will expire. This will become a lifestyle statement as well.

I had two deaths in my family one is highly educated and the other one not. While analysing the common phenomenon between two of them, the reason seems to be unable have access to the medicine that can provide that golden hour before reaching to the hospital. A simple first aid can connect the common man to the ultramodern medical facility available in India, yet people do not have access to first aid. Either they are unaware of not having access to. As the famous saying goes, knowing and not doing it as much as not knowing.
