When emergency patients arrive at a hospital there may not be sufficient staff to transfer the patient from the Gurney to the examination table.

By a simple redesign of the tops of the Gurney and the examining table, the “One Handed Patient Transfer” device could handle all the patient movement with ease, and simplify the emergency intake procedure.

The device allows the insertion of lifting bars underneath the patient. A slight movement using the horizontal bar, the patient is lifted off the Gurney with minimal effort due to the rounded legs of the device.

Once lifted off the Gurney, the examination table could be placed under the patient who is then lowered down onto the table.

The “One Handed Patient Transfer” could also equipped with casters to make it possible to move the device with, or without the patient, without scratching the floor.
