The main purpose of project prObe is to design and develop a next-gen aerial autonomous robotic platform (UAV), for extreme and challenging environments. Capable of undertaking high quality data acquisition activities, for inspection and decision-making operations.
The concept lies within propulsion system hidden inside spherical shape which enable device that will be safer for human environment. Construction of the sphere can shield and cover internals from possible collisions, allowing various resistance options (e.g dust, water, bulletproof) and even physical interaction with surroundings (pushing and going through obstacles) provided by different construction materials or painting/coating options.
