Elephants and other wild animals are accidentally killed by trains when crossing rail lines at night. The picture of an accident of train with animal (especially an elephant) brings me great suffering. For this reason I propose a concept to avoid these accidents.

I think that if hot water of 40c to 50c (104f 1 to 122f ) is thrown by sprayer on an animal, then they will run away from the place, and some water of this temperature does not have any effect on the skin. If any scents are present to chase away the animal that can be mixed with the water.

For this technique, I suggest at first the speed of the train in the forest areas must be less than 60 km/ h at night. Secondly I suggest a small bogy to do joint with train at the rear of engine or guard’s room. Hot water making and spraying with force though long foldable pipe will be operate from this bogy. Two foldable pipes are to be set up towards the front of the train and the pipe will be able to spread a minimum of 40 meters towards the front rail line. The pipe must be foldable also at the gap, between the engine and guard room.

By this system when a train will run through the forest at night, then hot water will be sprayed continuously on the front rail line with some side place of rail line forming two pipes at 50-60 meters distance from the train (10-20 meters from pipe out let). When the hot water of 40c to 50c will fall on the animal's body the animal will get a minimum of three seconds time to run away from the rail line and this time is enough to run away.

Thus the animal will be saved, although some energy will be spend to heat the water. But I think the value and needs of the wildlife is more than energy expenses and if we can heat the water by the heat of the train engine, then no new energy will need to be created.
