The solution of other physical distance and object detecting sensors onboard missiles can avoid them getting intercepted while still reaching their target destination after detours taken via undoing the detours took to return to the original flight path. Hence, a solution that doesn't require GPS/GLONASS like systems to act as its location and path agent; nor does it have security vulnerabilities associated with those systems.
