This device can interpret your mood (emotional) state, using biosensors then proceeding to select music (in your car, phone, ipod) that will bring you to an emotional “balanced” state.
From the tribal drums of our ancient ancestors to today’s unlimited streaming services, music is an integral part of the human experience. Researchers have pondered the possible therapeutic and mood boosting benefits of music for centuries.
Music is known to tap into various parts of the brain. This is why it is utilized by many experts in treating patients with emotional imbalances. The meter, timber, rhythm and pitch of music are managed in areas of the brain that deal with emotions and mood. These key areas are the hippocampus, prefrontal cortex and the parietal lobe.
Science has proved that particular tones and rhythms cause chemical reactions in your body, activating various hormones that have a positive effect on our mood. Qmood works with bionsensors (either installed in a wrist band, or in your car) that track our emotions by measuring responses from a variety of physiological signals. Once it determines your emotional state (stressed, happy, angry, sad), it will proceed to select music that will bring you to the “balanced” state. Utilizing AI features, Qmood will track your emotional states and previous music selections made in these states coupled with the analysis of song selections based on tonal pitch, meter and rhythm (and how these influence emotional state). It will be “self-learning” recording your preferences (while in each emotional state), and create a “balanced” state to which it will target its function.
How it works:
It collects data from the biosensors (wireless) and determines your current emotional state. Then proceeds to select music based on prior experience (your selections) and/or rhythm based data, then sends this selection to your car audio or other music device.
Music is an everyday part of our lives and has been for millennia. Listening to music driven by your own personal emotional needs, Qmood becomes your own personnel wellness assistant!
