The Hover Disk is a device created to provide extremely low friction to a load up to 250 pounds. It is small enough for personal use as well as may be employed to provide a sliding operation to a larger device utilizing multiple units. A slave mode may be enabled to allow one unit to control all the other units in its immediate vicinity. At this time, a smooth surface such as a floor or road surface is required for the device to function properly. A rough surface such as packed dirt or sand may or may not work due to edge clearances. The device utilizes a large fan who packs a plenum with air, from the plenum a group of proprietary compressors compress the air into an individual collector. The collector has only one exit, which is through a Venturi to the surface below. A non-chemical rechargeable battery is utilized to provide about six hours of operation per charge. The method of operation is two-fold. The input fan creates about 14% of lift while the air jets supple 86% of the lift. Side panes that open to allow plenum air to exit provides direction for steering, which may be communicated by toe motions of the user.

This is a true hovering device. It has no wheels. Bumps on the periphery of the device keep a large flat surface from blocking the air access to the input fan then allowing the device to be placed completely under the object of lift. Doing tricks such as jumping the device is not recommended.

Patented Cerfite devices are utilized to achieve the movement features within the device.
