The Fractal Orifice Plate US9278362 is a platform technology upon which novel nozzle geometries for advanced fluid dynamics and spray applications are based. It is designed to produce a large class of non-canonical turbulent flows that can be tailored to specific applications based on a few simple parameters. Subsequently, the Fractal Orifice Plate offers a vast array of turbulence configurations effectively opening the door to a new realm of spray and flow control. The Fractal Orifice Plate is patented internationally in over twenty countries in the E.U., China and the U.S. for a diverse set of applications ranging from fuel atomization to combustion and power generation to industrial robotics.

Aerospace This is a option to replace the Space X 9 engine design.

Please see the figure on the left which is the current Space X design from their website. Space X uses 9 engines and they say two can fail and they can still complete mission...so they have two more engines than they need..in circle of 12 ft or 3.7m.

My Plan Fractal engine design pattern

I say we size a fractal orifice F5 with 16 holes to have the same area as 7 of the current engines...This can be done because of the fractal dimension. The figure on the right shows how the 16 holes would be set up. This will mean we have 2/9's less wight of engines and will only need 7/9 of the fuel. The fractal pattern looks more stable.

We build 16 engines in 3 sizes to have same thrust and same weight of 7...all this can be simulated and if they need to make the engines bigger and save what ever you save,
but the temps should be lower and the pressures lower and turbulence more controlled and oddly enough I am trying to sell a shower drain that is the very same shape as this rocket motor design.
