mirror therapy for stroke rehabilitation through image processing

Mirror therapy has been found to be a very effective way towards recovering lost functionality. My idea is to use image processing software, where a stroke affected person uses his non-affected limbs (hand or leg) in front of a camera connected to a server machine. This machine captures the motion images, processes it to generate a mirror image in which stroke affected limb is doing all the movement done by the non-affected hand. Thus effectively simulating mirror effect. This will provide a very simple and cheap way to make this therepy available to stroke survivors at their place of choice.

All the following goals for OT and PT treatment of the affected extremities can be easily achieved via this therapy.
Increase ROM
Increase function
Increase perception (neglect, inattention, awareness)
Increase cortical reorganization of the brain
Increase processing speed
Increase strength
Improve a lack or change in sensation
Decrease apraxia
Decrease pain
Increase coordination
