To have cost effective manufacturing of an automotive heat exchanger and also to reduce the size to a compact one by combining both radiator and charge air cooler, a combination type. It will make the heat exchanger cost effective.

The design will reduce the investment in a number of tools in compared to individual development of the radiator and charge air cooler.

It will reduce the number of process toolings and also the number WIP and workstations.

The number of mountings, bracket provisions can be reduced as it becomes the single entity.

The investment in capital equipment for individual core builders can be combined into one with semiautomatic operations.

The final module assembly station is eliminated by doing so.

This could help the next generation heat exchanger manufacturing, a base innovation to make it aligned for the specific requirements in automotive engine cooling solutions.
