This system aims to achieve storage of electricity for a traction motor through the storage of energy kinematics.
The system involves the use of two counter-rotating flywheels in carbon fiber held in place by magnetic suspension bearings. On the rotor are installed two electric motors with permanent magnets that provide both charge kinematics that the production of electricity for locomotion. The container, also in carbon fiber, is placed under a vacuum.
The storage capacity by limiting the rotation of the flywheels to 70,000 RPM is about 44 kwh, enough for an average size car to go about 800 km.
The charging system can be in 3.3 minutes using a source of 800 kw.
The system with an approximate weight of 80 kg allows an advantageous energy storage reaching an energy density equal to 1,98 MJ / kg.
