A "No Light Solar Cell"

Idea and process of coupling a photovoltaic cell to a super capacitor of Graphene to charge while the cell is illuminated and discharge during low or no light periods.

This approach is scalable, and provides a better impedance match to the cell, as well as allows for series and parallel connections at a much greater efficiency. The cell can be of any type but thin film is easiest to manufacture with Graphene capacitor incorporated into the substrate.

Nanotube tech would be used to further enhance the conversion spectrum of the PV cell. This approach is unique in that it is a direct incorporation of three technologies into one package, and at the time of manufacture of the PV cell or panel. This is inherently a lowest cost approach as no additional external or "added later" parts or assemblies are used, and the typical form factors for existing cells and panels would be preserved assuring legacy mounting.

The cells and panels thus produced would have the ability to provide constant output even during intermittent illumination such as cloud cover and no light conditions after sunset. With advances in the storage technologies of the Graphene super cap, it would be possible to pay out the stored energy throughout the night without interruption.
This approach would mitigate the cycling of the power grid and be a resource during peak usage.
