1. The need for high performance hybrid electric systems that can store energy for breaking and use the energy for accelerating.
2. The benefits are the versatility of design, smooth acceleration, faster acceleration, the ability to store energy in the flywheel, and electricity generation that’s stored in hybrid capacitors/batteries. Less wear on the breaks because most of the energy is captured. Imagine your at a red light and you want to beat the person next to you, you just rev up your engine and flywheel to store the energy and when the light turns green you engage the clutch for a easy win.
3. To my knowledge, I haven't seen these different inventions used in this order to store energy and have fast speed performance using 2 variable diameter pulleys, flywheel/kers, motor/generator, the use of 3 clutches, with optional combustion engine power input.
4. The idea would be applied to hybrid cars, or all electric cars, which is where the future car market is headed. For a super fast car one system could be attached to each wheel for better handling, cornering, acceleration, and energy storage capacity.
5. The market potential is the future car market.
6. Power comes from either batteries/capacitors and/or internal combustion engine. That power is either sent to the electric motor which transfers the power using the VDPs that are controlled by the computer for best efficiency to the wheels or the flywheel. The energy sent to the wheels is then stored in the car's momentum. Upon breaking the VDP's change ratios to send energy in the flywheel then when it is at its maximum the clutch disengages, the remaining energy is captured by the generator to be sent to the capacitors/batteries. Now when the car accelerates again it uses the energy from the flywheel and capacitor/batteries.
7. Manufactured by robots in an assembly line
8. More expensive but more efficient and better performance
