My proposal is for an underwater combat simulation game called SEACOM-2013 Extreme Aquatic Games. I design and build shallow water pure Oxygen Rebreather diving equipment for recreational use. US Navy SEALS use a similar (but more advanced) diving system. The paintball, laser-tag, and AirSoft combat simulation community has grown recently in popularity, with many groups forming all around the US. They play out an extensive land based set of combat simulation scenarios, just for the physical and mental challenges and entertainment. My proposal is for the formation of a similar combat simulation game, but instead of land based combat scenarios, our group would develop an underwater version for combat gamers called SEACOM-2013. We would offer a civilian version (in controlled aquatic environments like pools, or lakes) of what the Navy Seals experience in their training scenarios. It would provide civilians with a glimpse into what it's like be a SEAL on a training mission, but in a closely monitored, safe environment. I believe it has the potential to become a very popular addition to the already well-established paintball, laser tag, and AirSoft gaming community, and by offering civilians a once-in-a-lifetime chance to see what it's like to be a Navy SEAL, it might also be an effective recruitment tool for the US Military by encouraging those participants who show potential into actually trying out for the SEALS. In any event, it would certainly be an exciting addition to the "Extreme Sports" list of activities for athletes looking to push the envelope. Candidates who make it past the initial training scenarios would be awarded combat badges (medals) for their achievements, rank upgrades, and eventually Nick-Names like their SEAL counterparts. Like the other well established combat simulation games, this one has a huge potential for profit, and I hope to find investors willing to help develop it.
