Concept design of a piezoelectric mat for harvesting energy from vibrations.
Piezoelectric ceramics have the property of producing electricity under compression stimulus. This mat takes advantage of that property disposing piezo electric components in the weaving structure of the fabric in a hexagonal grid.
The case is presented in the configuration of a sail, but it also can be use of harvesting sound vibration or another kind of mechanical vibrations.
