Local Power Generation Concept

This concept is for local electrical power generation, easily scaleable to nearly any size or demand. The illustration shows one "bank" which would be suitable for a small village or neighborhood. Adding additional "banks" would make this suitable for whatever size demand. This could be constructed and used anywhere power is required and people are available to ride the stationary bicycles.

This concept would create permanent jobs (riders and maintenance personnel). It would promote health and civic pride and responsibility (riders). It would be safe and inexpensive to construct ($10k to $15k per bank plus building). It would be simple and servicable (no new technology involved to learn or manage). No petroleum would be used; no sun light is necessary; wind is not a factor.
