Ark is a ladder specially designed for kids between 3 and 12, for every time they need to get toys, but they can't. The challenge for this product was to design a one piece ladder and do it in one process for economy and low weight. The goal was reached with a product that can be manufactured by a rotationally molded of dust polyethylene and only have a mass of 1,5kg.
Other challenge was to optimize the product for a load of 1500N, because this product can be subject by a adult and for the safety factor. Thanks to the ISDX extension of Pro/E it was easy do this and later could pass in seconds the iterations to Pro/Mechanica continuously until arriving at a satisfactory result.
